About as Kiwi as a day out gets. Kiwi Valley Farm Park sits on 20 acres in Henderson Valley, and it's been giving Auckland kids their first up-close animal experiences since 2001. Everything is included in the entry price — no hidden extras, just a full day of farm fun. The Nursery Shed is where the magic happens for little ones, with a calm, supervised setting to sit down, hold and cuddle baby animals. Grab a pot of feed on your way out and the goats, chickens, ducks, donkeys, sheep and alpacas will come to say hello on the hillside walk. A genuine working farm experience, not a petting zoo.
What to expect
A proper farm day across 20 hillside acres. Tractor rides take you all the way up to the top paddocks on SPUD — a 1962 Fordson Dexta. Horse and pony rides are available for both children and adults (daily weight limit applies; horse rides close at 3:30pm). Back at the bottom there's a playground, sandpits and a fully licensed café on site for when energy levels need topping up. Everything is included in the entry price, which makes it brilliant value for a full family day.
