Why go

Workshop 6 has been a Grey Lynn institution since 1993 — a working jewellery studio and creative community that genuinely welcomes everyone. Come in knowing nothing, leave wearing something you actually made yourself. There are very few experiences in Auckland that deliver that.

What to expect

At its heart is a collective of practising contemporary jewellers who share tools, ideas and energy under one roof. The classes are small, hands-on and properly taught — this isn't a paint-and-sip situation. You'll work with real tools on real materials at a real bench.

The studio itself is beautiful — a proper working space with decades of creative history in the walls. The instructors know their craft deeply and have a way of making even complete beginners feel like they belong there. Classes run across all skill levels, and bench space is also available for hire if you want to work independently.
